Two-Phase Treatment

Our Two-Phase treatment consists of a three-step process to ensure that your child achieves a healthy, beautiful smile.

• Our Orange orthodontist can help treat jaw growth, tooth crowding, or spacing issues to ensure proper alignment for your child’s permanent teeth during phase one.
• After the first phase, you’ll need a resting period where your child’s permanent teeth can naturally grow without the disturbance of a retainer.
• During Phase Two, your orthodontist will place entire upper and lower braces to help correct any additional alignment issues.

CT Braces is a trusted, certified Invisalign provider for the Orange area. Invisalign is a clear, removable, and comfortable tray that takes the place of braces and can help you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile. Types Of Retainers

The staff here at CT Braces in Orange is skilled and trained to design customized retainers that can be fixed or removable.  With clear retainers being the most appealing, they also fit over the whole arch of teeth.  Clear retainers can also be customized as clip-ons that fit only from canine to canine.

The permanent retainers customized here at CT Braces in Orange are equipped with wires that are bonded to either upper or lower teeth and are more times than not required when wisdom teeth are removed.  They typically stay in place for life.

Pros And Cons

The team here at CT Braces in Orange wants all of our patients to be aware of the upside and downside of retainers.  Removable retainers are ideal because they can be removed when eating or performing oral hygiene routines.  The downside, however, is that they can be lost easily and quickly.

Fixed retainers tend to be the perfect choice for those individuals who don’t want to worry about losing their retainer or having to track the number of hours each day it needs to be worn.  The downside to fixed retainers is that to floss and get between your teeth and retainer, you will need to use floss threaders with the dental floss, and this can prove to be a bit challenging.
